I was thinking about getting spacers to set my wheels a little wider. I am not lifted yet, and am running the stock 225/75/16s on a 2006 CRD. I was wondering if I would have rubbing issues without a lift, and if wheel lugs would have to be trimmed with a 1.25" spacer. The dealer where I bought my Liberty had one with 16x8 wheels with 5" backspacing on stock tires. That should have put the wheels 1.25" further out if I figure right. I don't know if they had any rubbing issues, but I would think that they would not have left them on if there was any rubbing. I don't do a lot of off-roading, but do a few days of beach driving each year. I have future lift and wheel and tire plans, but for now I just want a little wider stance. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don't know if they would work, but you should be able to return them if they don't. I would think you'd be ok though.
