I was researching tires and noticed not only on tirerack.com but also other sites this:

Blackwall Serv. Desc: 120/116P Price: $117.00 (each)
Estimated Availability: 04/12/07

Outlined White Letters Serv. Desc: 120/116P Price: $178.00 (each)
Estimated Availability: Back Order

The only difference is the second one has outlined white lettering...why the heck would it be nearly a $60 difference? Thats insane!!! :shock:

I noticed that, too. I called a local Goodyear dealer, and their pricing wasn't anywhere close to TireRack's. The black lettered version was only a few dollars less than the white outline letters (which were over $200).

Since the pricing was so close and I knew I could get a better deal on BFG M/Ts at Costco (because I could turn my Revos in under warranty), I didn't pursue it any further. But I think it would be worthwhile to look into.
