| Post subject: | After new tires? |
I currently have an 04 sport, running 215-75-16, I'm replacing them with Goodyear Long Trail t/a 245-70-16. Do I need to do anything once they are on? I checked americastire.com "Tire Calculator" and compared the two sizes, if I'm doing 65mph it says I'm going 66.81 with the new size. Will this hurt anything in the long run? I asked them about tire rubbing, they told me "Our computer system says you can run up to 245-75-16." Do I need to be concerned about tire rubbing? Or did my 04 sport come with the 215's for pricing, and 245's will not be an issue? Thanks. |

I run 235/70/16's and they feel real good under the kj. You should be fine with a 245/70/16 there just a little bit wider than the 235's and a major improvement over the 215's your running, you should have no problems. I've heard some people say they had rubbing w/ the 245/75/16's, but if you do a search on the forums I'm sure you'll find some good info... |
