| Post subject: | Geolandar ATS - 245/70-16 - ? |
As mentioned above, just got my new Liberty 4 x 4. It has the Goodyear 225-75-16 - these have to go. My main requirements are good handling for twisty mountain roads, paved and unpaved, in Mexico. Critical is sidewall strength - can't deal with lots of punctures. So, had planned on either Bridgestone REVOS or Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor, 245-70-16. But they are expensive - $800 set of four mounted and balanced, tax, etc. at Discont Tire. They have a Yokohama Geolandar AT-S, coming in at about $200 less, for $600 for the package. I can't find many comments on these - anyone with any suggestions or info? |

"Have you looked on the Tire Rack site?" Actually I have. There were some comments there (not many), but no specifc numerical rankings like they have for the Bridgestones and Goodyears. I'm wondering if I'm taking a big chance trying to save $200. |
