I've been looking for an answer to this specific question in the old posts, but couldn't find it:

I have an 05' Renegade with a Rockfather II lift (2.5"), and I'm tossing around the following BFG A/T sizes: What do you think?

245/70 R16
245/75 R16
255/70 R16

I'm afraid the 245/75 will be too short, the 245/75 will ride like too much like a truck (E load rating) and perhaps too tall for my wife to like it (she has to drive it), and the 255/70 will be too wide and rub too much. Any thoughts?

I run those in 245/70 with my Rusty's lift & they work/look good for now till I upgrade

If the wife doesn't like the height difference now, she won't like the 245/75s otherwise it's only about 1/2 inch height difference. If she's talking about nose bleeds, needing a ladder, etc. now, the 245/70s won't change things from the stockers heightwise. Haven't tried the 255/70s but others have and some have went back one size in width later.

I run the 245/75 AT's and they rub a tiny bit on full lock. Before that I had 255/70 LTX's and they rubbed a tiny bit more then the AT's do now but they are not as high. The height diff is minimal

Thanks for that info. Does the fact that the 245/70 has a load rating of "D" make it a little nicer ride than tires that have a load rating of "E" like the BFG 245/75?

Yes along with mpg, acceleration, and braking distances.
