I have the generals and I think they are great for the money. Good traction and good wear so far. I have not really noticed more noise than any other AT, but some say they are louder.

Grabbers, heck of a good tire. Not so much in gluey mud, but good otherwise.

i would say the BFG at's.. mine are just as quiet as the stock goodyears and are AMAZING on and off road. they are great in mud (as long as you keep them cleaned out with your right foot  ) , rocks, snow, everything.. just air them down to about 15lbs and your good for anything thrown at you.

Yeah... Just beware of their weak sidewalls... If you plan on doing any serious off-roading at normal tire pressure i'd stick with the generals.

BFG AT's all the way. my brother put the grabbers on his truck, not to be mean to anyone with grabbers here, but he said he loved and misses his bfg's. his main concern was that he lost almost 2 mpg with the grabbers. i don't know if that had something to do with the amount of air in them or whatnot, but i love bfg's b.c i have had them for 2 years and when i bought my libby, the dealer recommended me to get some and even gave me a number of a shop in town that really gave me a good deal. (a lot lower than tirerack)! hope this helps!

You MIGHT not need it, but unless you're SERIOUSLY strapped for cash, it's a good idea to do it anyway whenever you're changing rolling or suspension components. Somtimes just a difference in weight will make things behave differently in the drivetrain/steering. Find someplace local that you think you can trust and will be there in a couple years and pay a few extra dollars for the lifetime (of the tires) align/ballance/rotate deal. You'll thank yourself later :)

"well honey, there's been a report of tread-seperation on the goodyears! remember the Explorer? Same thing!! we need to get our Jeep as safe as possible because I don't want your pretty little face smashed in by the roof!"

And get the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos...that's my recommendation for an all-terrain. I'm a fan of the BFG AT's performance off road, but the treadwear leaves a little to be desired.\

plus the Revos just look fxxxing cool:D

or, upgrade to a better class of GY's. MTR's are pretty good, if you can find any.

if he had a 5 year old, 85,000 mile Liberty I'd say go for a mud tire...but I SERIOUSLY doubt his old lady would put up wtih the noise and vibration very long before smacking him upside the head and saying "you idiot"

crap, my Isuzu Trooper had a rusted out exhaust system and "she" never rode in it aside from once in a great while, and she complained about the extra noise my B-stone Dueler AT 693s (before the Revo came out) made! come on, a mufflerless 2.8 and a noisy 5 speed...HOW DO YOU EVEN NOTICE??

I was always a "do, then answer for it later" kind of person.

i.e. I'm getting lights from JJ. They are being shipped to work. When they get here, I will leave them in the back of the Jeep until it's convenient to move them without being seen. I will install them while my wife is out. It will be a good 3-4 months before she notices that I have 2 extra giant-honking lights on the bumper. At that point I'll just say "oh those? They've been there for months. Don't you remember I got them from that Random guy on eBay for $7 because no one else bid?"

Tires would be even easier. Tires blend
