Good afternoon. I am going to be buying tires shortly and want some advice. Let me preface this by explaining what I have and the intended use. I have an '06 CRD that is used as a #1 daily driver, #2 as a tow rig (Fleetwood Bayside = ~3500#) and off road once or twice a month. The choices that I have narrowed it down to are ATs in 225/75R16 (good for towing and daily driving but may look a bit small with the lift), 245/75R16 (better off road, decreased fuel mileage, may affect towing negatively and will look pretty good) and #3 215/85R16 (better off road, may not affect fuel mileage, may not affect towing negatively and, I think, will look GREAT). All the input that I have gotten here has pointed me towards the 245 but I really like the looks of tall and skinny tires. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

So you have ruled out the 245 70 16s? Good in between size, I have them with a lift and dont look too bad. 245 75s will kill some of your power esp pulling the trailer, so how tall are the 215 85s?

Also consider 235/75/16's, these are a bit taller then the 245/70's and alittle smaller then the 245/75's. Alot of people don't even seem to consider them.

Is that CRD lifted? If it isn't, you are more limited in your size choices.

Not all tires are available in all sizes, so do some looking around here:

I think the tire sizes the others above have listed will be a great place to start.
