All, Good afternoon. I am going to be buying tires shortly and want some advice. Let me preface this by explaining what I have and the intended use. I have an '06 CRD that is used as a #1 daily driver, #2 as a tow rig (Fleetwood Bayside = ~3500#) and off road once or twice a month. The choices that I have narrowed it down to are ATs in 225/75R16 (good for towing and daily driving but may look a bit small with the lift), 245/75R16 (better off road, decreased fuel mileage, may affect towing negatively and will look pretty good) and #3 215/85R16 (better off road, may not affect fuel mileage, may not affect towing negatively and, I think, will look GREAT). All the input that I have gotten here has pointed me towards the 245 but I really like the looks of tall and skinny tires. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance. -Dr. Dave |

So you have ruled out the 245 70 16s? Good in between size, I have them with a lift and dont look too bad. 245 75s will kill some of your power esp pulling the trailer, so how tall are the 215 85s? Tom |

Also consider 235/75/16's, these are a bit taller then the 245/70's and alittle smaller then the 245/75's. Alot of people don't even seem to consider them. |

Is that CRD lifted? If it isn't, you are more limited in your size choices. |

Not all tires are available in all sizes, so do some looking around here: http://www.1010tires.com/tires.asp or any of the other tire sites that list sizes and customer reviews.
