What size wheel should I get for the KJ (e.g. 16x8) and what backspacing should I get if I want to enhance the stance without risking rubbing (if it's even possible). Also, what bolt pattern do I need?

Thanks,
Bill

For the 16x8 rims stay with the 5" BS(same as the MOAB rims),or for even less rubbing go to 16x7 rims with 4.5" BS(that's what I run). The bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5.

X2 - especially since your sig show you running 245/75/R16s

tjkj - thanks! - that info helps me too - I'm swapping from the MOABs to 16x7 and needed to know backspacing. (hopefully to fit 235/85/R16)

I might as well get in here too! With my 17" rims which size of Soft 8s' should/could I get. Right now I don't have any rubbing with or without the spacers. Tire size below.

What alternatives are there if you don't want to go Moabs or Cragar? 16 x 8 with 5 inch backspacing sounds great but I can't find wheels with those specs here in Aus. Any help will be appreciated. I am prepared to bring them in from O'Seas, I just can't find alternatives.

5" of BS will save you from having to trim metal in the rear wheelwell I think.

yup
IMO the rear is the biggest problem with wider/different B/S than stock

Agreed, I had 16x7"s with 4.75"BS running 265/75/16s and had to trim the rear wheelwell. I guess you could run bigger bumpstops to limit upward wheel travel and stay away from the lip...but it would really limit the articulation you are looking for.

CPC I was looking to go local but the cost was an issue, this is all I could find. Below is the email I received & after pricing them I found they were about $245 per rim.

This rim is called Explorer Platinum, it's alloy & I'm 99% sure it's 5" back space (12mm offset)
