I'm going to replace my stock 235/70/16 SR-A's in a couple of months before the snow hits and going with a slightly bigger size to 245/70/16 stock height. I can't decide between the Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor or the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. Anyone have any experience with either and are there any differences between both? The GY is speed rated "T" and the BFG is rated "S"; does this make much difference? Anyone have any pics of either on their Libby with that same size? Sorry for all the questions but I know everyone on the message board is very helpful. I was also wondering does the 245 size give a better ride than stock (bouncy at all?) and notice any loss of power or gas mileage difference. Thanks guys!!

As far as what I have read both will be about the same, I used to run BFGs all the time and they did great. As far as 245 70s on the Liberty as far as power no difference that I can see, ride is so much better, like driving a different vehicle! More stable in my opinion. Look at all the ratings for both tires as far as heat/ wear etc. When it comes to BFGs you have people that love them and others that think you only pay more for the name.

I have the BFG in that exact size & they are awesome,wear is excellant, & I've had NO problem in the snow if you do get them psi should be between 35-39

this is the 8th vehicle I've had them on & never had a problem

Thanks guys for the info! I saw a post somewhere with pics of the BFG's in 245 on someone's Libby and they looked real good. I think they have a meaner off road look to them compared to the GY's.

they do real well out on the trail also

Try looking at a 235/75/16...Hercules Terra Trac AT or Toyo Open Country AT...they are just a bit taller but fit a stock KJ. The big advantage is that they will have a higher Load Rating because of the "75" sidewall.
