I'd like to go 235/75 just for a bit more height, but I want to make sure noone is getting rubbing (any) with these tires on. I plan on lifting it in the future, but for now it's staying stock. The guy I talked to at discount tire had Toyo Open Country 245/70's on his stock 03 and he was getting rubbing on his tie rod. Everything I've read says these shouldn't rub. So, I'm throwing this out there before I go plop down a big chunk of money only to find out they're rubbing.

Anyone?

You may get SOME rubbing some do some say they dont I ran 245-70X16s for a couple of months before the lift and didnt have any problems. It also depends on the tread of the tire some are a little wider more aggressive!

Ive never had any rub with the 235/75/16 prior to the lift, but like tom said it varies. If it did rub (which it shouldn't) then it would be VERY minimal.
** And they dont look bad with a OME lift either

235/75/16's are taller than the 245/70/16 but just a bit less wide. My 235/75/16s (Hercules Terra Trac ATs @ 29.82" tall) do not rub without a lift.

My plan is to go with the Destination A/Ts in size P235/75R16. They are the best rated tire at tire rack in that size. I can get them mounted balanced and on the car for $100 each. I don't think that includes tax.

I was also in the same dilema a few days ago. I went with the 245/70/16 because the 236/75/16 were not readily available and I was going on a trip. The 245/70/16 DO rub a little bit (or should I say they barely rub) at full flex and at full lock on my 05 sport. A little clevis lift will certainly get rid of it I sure. I will not do the clevis just yet because it is a minor issue. I'll wait for some OME springs some time in the not so near future :? .

BTW my tires are BFG KO's

Cheers,

Octavio

remember its important to look at the miles driven for ALL of the reviews at tirerack...some tires get a big rating and then you look at the far right of the chart only to see that someones reviews were only after a couple hundred thousand miles....as opposed to a review for example on the BFGs, which have reviews based on MILLIONS of miles. That is a critical thing to consider when mulling over these generic reviews.
