Hi-- I have a stock 05 sport and would like to run 245/70r16 tires on Cragar Soft 8 rims.

Do I want the 16x7's w/ 4" BS or 16x8 w/ 5" BS?

Or do I need to stick with 235/70r16's?

Thanks!

I believe that the 7's will work best.

i have the 16x7 with 4 inch BS with some big o 235/70 tires... I had to pound the pinch weld because there was some slight rubbing when turning the wheel entirely. There is still some rubbing in reverse, but its only on the plastic. I also have an arb up front on the stock suspension, so that could be reducing the clearance i have with the fender as well. The tires should fit, but you will get some rubbing when turning the wheel all the way, especially in reverse.

edit: rubbing on the pinch weld was caused by the decreased amount of backspacing. The wheel/tire will be further awway from the suspension componenets but it will be moved closer to the pinch weld on the outside of the front fender.

Jeg's just quoted me $695 for 4 Kuhmo Road Venture AT 245/70r16 tires mounted on 16x8 Cragar Soft 8's delivered, which is a great deal.

Summit Racing has soft 8's for cheap and free shipping too.

I haven't found a place that has Cragar's and Generals though. That would be my first choice.

Have only had them on about 16 days but over 1950 miles, but so far ride is great, low hum on the road but pretty quiet. Handle well and had them in some rocks mud cleaned well for an AT. Tread is open in the center of the tread so should do well. Need to get some pics been too busy though! Have one if I can find it.
