Tire Fit

Hey guys is there anyway I can fit used 265/75/16 Cooper A/Ts on my jeep with 2.5" Rustys lift with one clevis ring in the front and only rustys springs and shocks in the back? What will I have to do to fit these? What will I have to do to fit new 265/75/16s? Thanks

i got 265's with four ring clevis lift, three spring isolators in the rear, and no inner fender flares on the front end.

if you plan to run these off road you will need to get extended bump stops for the rear or you'll tear your rear fender flares off as soon as you stuff the tires.

So you saying there is no way without much trimming and pounding the pinch weld and the bumpstops

Yes thats what he is saying you can do it but its a lot of work and possible damage due to ripping off flares etc. Plus you have to think about the possible loss of power due to the larger tires as well

you can do it, but the minimum you'll have to do is pinch weld pounding and extended bump stops.

plan on having rub in various areas if you dont have the extra clevis / spring pads.

If gas mileage is no problem for you, go for it. I get 12.5 mpg. with rural driving, not city and 14 mpg. highway.

Alright so 265 won't fit without the razoz knife and hammer. How about 245/75/16? what would I have to do to fit these? I am thinking about General Grabber AT2?

go for the 245 75 16 s you will still have to do the pinch weld and maybe a little trim job in front but not much

i ran 245's on moab rims without pounding the pinch weld, but it was REALLY close during turns and off roading.

if you dont mind tearing up your liberty a bit, then go 265's. you will lose some power with that size tire though.

if you want it to run as close to stock as possible, the 245's are the way to go.

the 265's look awesome on the liberty though... :twisted:
