I just got my 2002 Liberty three months ago from a friend of mine. He is selling me four winter tires that are already mounted on winter rims, to use in the snowy months of winter. What is the best way to store my summer tires on the factory wheels? Should they be stored inside, where it is warm, or are the OK in a cold, outside storage building. Also, should the tires on the wheels be stored laying down, or standing upright? I recall in the past that one of those two ways is frowned upon. Thanks.

I just keep mine in a shed in the yard. As long as they aren't exposed to the weather they'll do fine. Mine are standing up side by each. That's how the tire shops store their tires: standing on racks.
