Hey Pote, Vatiivas got much better after 1k on them. All that's left is just the difference of deep tread versus unevenly eaten tread on my old tires. Otherwise, I have been taking some turns much faster than I did with my old tires, these started performing better.

Sweeet Hyedipin...that's good news. Strange that these things actually get stickier and stickier the more they wear, but that's how they are engineered. I can't wait for the snow and ice to fly...that's where these will really shine. You being in NY and me in OH, we should have some good winter driving stories to share come January!!
I'be been putting them through the paces the last few days in cold rain. Purposely drove through some standing water on the highways and they have been outstanding. My old tires would pull to the side and seem to float when hitting standing water and I would almost crap myself...these just plowed through and I never felt the tires leave the pavement. cornering in the rain was the same...they just grip like mad, no chirping, sliding or fishtailing like my old tires. So far I'm really happy with these. I ultimately like the KO/Grabber tread pattern for LOOKS, but I drive a long way on the highways everyday including lots of driving with my two little boys (4 and 5 yrs old) and the looks of a tread pattern are trumped by safety and great bad weather traction. Offroad is completely secondary in my life at the moment and gets done very little. One caveat I had was I wanted an AT tire with a nice square shoulder and more aggressive look than most all-season tires....these fit that bill perfectly. Bring it on Mr. Winter!!!!! (Last time I said that we got 4 feet of snow in a single night here...
