would not be a good idea 225-75x16s call for a 6 or 7 inch rim, 8s would be stratching the sidewalls out a lot. So the answer is No |

So the answer is No You are correct tommudd,plus it will wear the outside edges faster as if under inflated and if you plan on wheeling it if you drop the psi your certian to blow a bead.A 8" rim is a good choice if running a 11.50" or wider tire up to a 13.50" tire,anything less stick with 7" rim or less.
