Are you sure the wheels will fit on the libby? They may not clear the brake caliper (IIRC)

99% they are going to rub like crazy
Guy down here by me has 15 X 8 steelies with 30X9.5 BFG MT's with a rustys spring lift and he rubs
You will need 2" and triming with the steelies

Post subject:  serious? I just loooked at kj fitment and said up to 29.5 w

29.5 tire without a lift, im heading to bfg to see what the actual height of this tire im guess 29.5. I do know these will fit yjs without a lift and tj wranglers easy without a lift. I know im taking a chance on the rims fitting but im confident lol.

Yes you can run 29.5" OD tires on a KJ with the proper back spacing on the rims I ran 225/75's from the time the Kj was 6 months old
I run a 245/75 MTR on the OE wheels with only OME springs for lift front and rear with NO rub on the street
all I had to do was move the fog lamp door and of corse pound the pinch
but that is a 30.5" od and nearly 10" wide tire

Post subject:  Hi just looked yes actual height manufacters specs 29.5

So it should fit im guessing its like 9 wide the rims say 15x8 6b? So is that positive backspacing on steelie?

no they probably will not
the Back spacing will cause a rub
It will push the tires out further and this changes the length of the turning circle making them go further into the wheel wells
front and rear

IMO with NO lift you need to stick with the OE wheels

Post subject:  wait a minute these unique rims 15x8 4.5 +6mm = 4 3/4 back

So its not going to stick them out is it, im guessing the stock rims are like +15?

I have no clue what you are trying to say
most steelies have either 3 3/4" Back spacing or 4 1/4 IIRC
the OE wheeles have 5 1/2" of back spacing
This keeps the wheels tucked in to the wheel wells and help keep rubing down

I know that people want to run 15" rims on the KJ and if they like it then I say "what ever blows your hair back"
but they are not for me for 2 reasons
1= they create rub
2= I dont care much for how the black steelies look on a KJ ,funny stance to me

Good luck with it.
Not all 15" Steelies will fit over the calipers.

This thread is useless without pics. :D
