BFG AT/KO's?

My wifes KJ has them. I will try to get some pics up later.

FWIW, They ride nice on road and worked great in Moab. I do not have a lot of hope for them on some of the rocky trails we wheel here though as I have seen way too many BFG (AT or MT) get the sidewalls cut bad.

I use the BFG AT's in the sizing 235/70-16. Have taken them on the rocky trails of Iceland and Morocco, they perform very well, never had a flat. It is one of the best real allrounders. On the road they are a bit noisy, especially at city speed. On the highway they do very well. I have driven 20.000 miles and they will last at least another 20.000 miles.
I have some superficial damage on the sidewalls, not surprising with the trips I have made.
It is quite a different breed than for instance Bridgestone Revo AT's, which are much more road oriented and have weaker sidewalls.

I have the BFG KO's in 245/75/16. I've had them on for close to 1,500 miles now (bought them used with 1,500 - 3,500 miles on them) and am very happy with them. Once they were balanced correctly I was impressed with their ride on both highway and city driving. Not too loud at all for me. They will stiffen up your ride for sure compared to the stock tires. The increase in size (29 to 30.5) and increase in weight (32 lbs to 50 lbs) of these tires compared to the stock 235/70/16's had an impact on power and braking, but neither are that bad in my opinion. Haven't had a ton of time to test them offroad, but with what little testing I've done, I'm very happy with them.

I agree they'll turn to racein slicks in the goo, puddles are ok though

They suck in the snow, They suck in the sand, If they go flat buy a new one because the casing will be junk,My opinion buy a different tire. What size are you after I have four 90% Tread or better stock size 225/75/16 Ill sell ya. Ya had them in a couple different sizes on a couple different vehicles and they suck. :twisted:

Cant really think of another all terrain that better in deep snow,some mud and lasts? Maybe the newer ones wear faster than the old breed? Terra graps are supoosed to be nice also Toyos but BFG is sweet! Try a set of goodyear sts or at-s or any of those bring the sux facter. I like Bfgs

had them on my 98 TJ. LOVED THEM. Very good tire all around. I went to college in western PA, so the roads were covered in snow a lot, and they got me through it up and down the mountains. Pretty good in the rain, but in the wrangler it was easy to break the rear end loose. Performed very well off road. But mud clearance seemed to be a little bit of an issue. I would def recommend them though. Great looking/performing meat.

Awesome in the snow.... I live in Canada drive in 1+ feet of snow often when driving through
mountain passes. Never been stuck.

Have them on my XJ and they did pretty well off road in Death Valley an some back roads in northern AZ. They are OK on the road, which is saying a lot for such aggressive thread pattern. Lost 1 MPG from previous road tires. I am trying to decide if I should put them on my KJ. Probably not as I do not ex[ect to do any real off road stuff.
