I'm looking at these rims:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/92804_30X_B_PG.htm

They are American Racing 16X8.5 Teflon coated. Does anybody have experience with Teflon coated rims? If I mount 245-70 16 tires will they clear the fenders?

Thanks guys,
Dean

If you do ANY offroad driving, expect chips in the teflon!

Never had any problems with the ones that were on my TJ. Depends on the type of offroading you do. Mountains or rock crawling, maybe. Forests hills, and mud of Indiana, not as likely.

Have a set on a tacoma 2wd. No rock crawling at all only desert driving and there are a few chips, so go figure

It looks as though the WHOLE rim is coated in Teflon. I would seriously take a wire wheel to the bead (where the tire sits on the rim) to remove any material from there to allow the tire to get a better grip on the mounting surface. Being as slippery as Teflon is, I would not want to worry about my tire moving around on the bead. I really do like the way they look though!
