Post subject:  Rubbing Question?

Running 245/70R16 Destination ATs on the stock steel 16x7 (5.5"bs?) wheels with a Rusty's 2.5" Lift plus a 3/8" clevis lift and am getting pretty severe rubbing at full-lock on the front sway bars (which I did not think was possible), but no rubbing in the pinch weld or fog-light doors. I do know that the P-rated Destinations are about 0.1" wider than the LT-rated BFG T/A KOs (9.8" vs 9.7") but that should make THAT much differnce, should it?

Options? Change Tires? Change Wheels? Wheel Spacers?

Either go to 16X7 rims with 4.5" back spacing or 1.25" spyder Trax wheel spacers to move the tire out off the swaybar.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, as you should only rub onfull lock it's not really a problem. But if it's a comcern for you then do what KJ04 said or get a set of MOABS 5" BS, I think there is a set for sale in the for sale section with some muddies

Post subject:  Thanks...

Those are actually the answers that I expected unfortunately...

The only reason I am worrying about it has more to do with DD use than Off-Roading. I live in Metro-Atlanta (lots of traffic and small parking lots).

Almost everytime I pull the KJ into a parking space (between the ranks of "grocery getters") I have to cut the wheel sharp enough to cause it to rub.

I guess I need to go with a set of Spyder Trax as I must be the only person on the planet who LIKES the way the stock 16x7 argent steel wheels look. :P

I like the stock alloy rims, I just don't like the 5.5" BS
