Now that BFG has seen fit to offer the KM2 in a 245/70/17, I'd like to see what needs to be done to fit them on my KJ with just an OME lift.

I'm thinking that I could add a few conduit nuts for a clevis lift and pound the pinch weld.

I'm looking for input from those running a 245/70/17 or a 245/75/16 with a standard OME lift.

Thanks.

not too many people running the 17's I am looking to downsize mine to 16" rims so my choices are greater. But this possibility has me very interested. The BFG's you sighted are 30.8" in total diameter according to BFG's website.

That is about 1.5 inches wider than stock ones I have. and a little wider tread width.

It looks like pinch weld manipulation is neccessary, but not sure.

hey good question! ..that's exactly what I plan on getting: an OME lift with 245/75/16's (I'm going with 16s so I can keep my stock dark graphite renny rims!) ..so yeah anyone has any thoughts on this and if you think they'll fit with just an OME lift??

We run 245/75 16 MTR's on OE wheels with nothing more than the OME lift ,med duty springs
I pounded the pinch and moved the fog lamp door on our '03
we get some slight rub at full lock when turning but the tires are way stronger than the plastic they are rubbing on
we also get a good rub at very full stuff on the rear
I plan to install bump stop spacers soon
