I'm getting ready to upsize and these look comparable to the BFG T/A KOs.

my usage is about 60/40 on road/off road (some mud). We get plenty of rain and some snow / ice in winter.

Anyone running these tires?

I would not recommend a 4 ply tire for ANY type of off roading under a KJ
the side wall will not like it at all
go at least a C ,6 ply, or D ,8 ply
lots of guys like the E or 10 ply MTR's but I think they are over kill even though I have them

I ran 235/70-16 Discoverer S/T's. Good dry traction, wet traction leaves something to be desired, but even at about 1/3 tread, they were good in the snow. But, seriously, for wet traction, my MT/R's are exactly as good.

They lasted for 45,000 miles though...I can't complain TOO much...but when they drop down to about half tread, they're COMPLETELY useless in heavy rain. Mud, they did alright for a bastardized cross-breed of a mud terrain and a street tire.

They're studdable too.
