Ok, so I contacted a couple local pros to get pricing on replacing the tires on my stock(non-lifted) reny from Goodyears to General Grabber AT2s 245/70/16 and here's what one company replied...
"Replacing the tires is not a problem, as long as you can verify there will not be a fitment issue with the tires once on the vehicle. You are changing the width and the height of the tire, so even though it fits on the rim, it may rub on a part of the vehicle. Also the ABS may not work correctly and the speedometer will be off slightly."
YIKES! FAULTY ABS AND SPEEDOMETER?!?! Hly Craap..What now?? Should I look into getting the gear ratio changed?..Is that something you all have done as part of putting on bigger tires? ((Or are they just covering their rear in case something should go wrong?))
