Anyone have advise or have used the Goodyear Wrangler AT/D2 tire.?

I am looking to get them in 245/75/16. I do some off roading, but most of my driving is around town. Am looking for something not too expensive, but would be a good tire for more off roading in the future.

Thanks.

I know the Wrangler AT/S sucks in wet conditions, not sure how it does in snow. the AT/D i think is a cheaped-down tire, like the Wrangler MT/D that Wally World sells.

IMO like all things in life you will get what you pay for
if you want cheep tires then just buy cheep tires and dont mess around with a stupid name
you can probably get some brand X mudders for >$100 if you shop and get about the same ride on road
but way better off road
go with some cheep off the wall good years and they may just suck

Most every rig around me when it first starts out ends up running either Master Craft Courser MT's or Remington Mud Brutes
both cheep and both do very well off road but on road they are loud but they do get good enough wet weather traction
south Louisiana so we get wet weather

After seeing how my stock tires were, I will never get Any of the Goodyear Wrangler series. They are the plague :D

the MT/R's, Silent Armors, and the other EXPENSIVE Wrangler tires are good. Cheap Goodyears suck...even some of the expensive ones, like the RT/S's and AT/S's suck. the RT/S's last a LONG time...but it's a long time that you won't have wet traction...you'll get fed up with them before they wear out.

My humble opinion on the Grabbers...Yes, I know a LOT of people on this forum love theirs...but you have to remember that 99.999% of them had the stock Wrangler ST's or SR-A's before...so take all the reviews with a grain of salt.
