okay... so i was looking at my tires, like i do most days, and noticed something.

the pass. front tire is extremely worn down... all other tires are not as worn as that pass. front. i am guessing it's from my wreck, b/c i did not have an alignment done, (which i know that it needs), but i have rotated and balanced my tires every 3k miles... i got the $40 for the life of the tire plan at pepboys...

so my question is, is my bfg wearing badly b/c of out of alignment, or do they just wear funny sometimes?
thanks!

What happened in the wreck?

Only thing it can be is an alignment. Unless they used a different rubber compound in one tire but I doubt they did that.

Actually it depends on what part of the tire is wearing.
You'll find that most front tires wear more on the outside edge. That is due to wear when the vehicle turns.

If the wear is on the inside look at an alignment.

If the tire is wearing at an angle across the face of the tread, also look at an alignment.

Tire wear for various reasons.

Poor alignment.
Bad struts.
Incorrect air pressure.

Just to name a few.

the woman... in a dodge charger (w/ hemi) hit me directly from the back at 50 mph, totalling her car but not this KJ.

the wear is mostly on the center of the tire, and we are trying to get the insurance people to agree that it was from the wreck, which would result in 4 new tires (maybe 5) b/c everyone knows that you can't put one AT tires with others and have everything line up!

that is what i am hoping atleast, but in actuallity i might just get one tire and i'll wait to use it until the other 3 tires wear out.

also, i have a little under 47K miles on these BFG AT's, are they about at their life? i have rotated and balanced every 3K and had an alignment every year in the first week of june (my anniversary of getting the KJ)!
