What size of tires are you running (other than stock)? Are you lifted? Any problems, such as rubbing?

Terry

See thread below about Revos. Yes I am rubbing but getting by till the lift comes. Bought 245 70 17's With the Revos you could likely get away with a 245 60 17.

I am running 235/65/17 Hercules Terra Trac A/T's. I am not lifted so no rubbing and it is the stock size. Much much much better than the stock HP's that are now sleeping in the garage.

P S .....sorry, I guess you were looking for other than stock size.......

I had 245/65R17's on the 2005 17X7.5" rims on a pre-lowered with no problems. I would think that a 245/70R17 would be about right with the Franky. You may need a little less backspacing though. Going to be a little tight once the wheels get pulled in from the lift. That's why my 17's are sitting in the garage beside the 16's that came with it. I went with the Moabs which are about perfect with a lifted KJ.

I’m wanting to keep my factory 17x7.5. Anyone have photos to show off their setup? Anyone using wheel spacers?

Perfect! Looks like I have the same set up as you. I have the Frankenlift II Premium, Al-s upper A arms, upper isolators, and I’m looking at the spidertraxs as well. When do you think you will be buying tires and posting photos?

"latest addition, 265/70/17 Mickey Thompson BAJA MTZ's on stock LTD 17" rims (no spacers, but will be adding a 6mm spacer plate per side in the near future, design at Lazer cutters at the moment. NO RUBBING !! Tyres work really well. They completely tuck in the rear with no rubbing, but a slight scuff on the upper inner plastic liner, honestly, hardly noticable. Im super impressed with the way they sound and drive, yet to offroad them, but we've got a huge 'Camp Coffs" Mini Jambo happening this Easter Long W'end - 5 hr drive from where I am. Should be around 100 Aussie Jeeps or more. Awesome tracks I hear, best Aussie Jeep Calendar Year event. I've never been able to make one, this is my 1st. The only place the fronts rub at all is the inner most flat metal body part ? Chassis line ? Hard to describe, i'll get a pic of it. I'm contemplating getting longer wheel studs pressed in and going with a 10mm or 1/2" at the most, steel spacer. I dont want these onese sticking out too far, maybe just in a little of where the 16x8 rims with 4.5" sat. On FULL COMPRESSION REAR TUCK, I can open and close my rear doors boths sides with no fouling !! The rear was my biggest concern, but not that its all hunky dory, i'll take off the front sway bar tomorrow and test that out to its limits. A mate is coming over to ramp the car up while I inspect.......

I know! That's the tire I'm thinking about running, in addition with spidertrax spacers. I'm hoping he will chime in and let us know if he has installed the spacers and tell us the results. I'm not sure if I can run the 265/70/17 with the 1.25" spacers with full stuff. What make and size of tire are you looking at?

265/70/17" in: Destination M/T , MTR's and now Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ. They really look good. I would like to see a rating done on all 3. Tire Rack doesn't list Mickey Thompson tires.

Do you know if there is a Cooper duplicate?

Have you looked at the Cooper site , the STTs are suppose to be real good, lots of guys over on ROF seem to like them as well.

I thought about buying the Cooper Discoverer ATR because they are 235/80 R17. I prefer that width. Would I still need wheel spacers if I ran a 235/80 R17 on my factory wheels? Or do I need spacers because the height of the tire would cause rubbing on the sway bar?
