So, I have a quote for BFG AT K/Os in 245/70/r16 for 791 installed (tax/fees included) with lifetime rotation and balance. That breaks down to 197.75 per wheel (for 4 tires). Do you guys think this is a good price? |

I think it's a common price - I don't think it's a good price. Tirerack lists the 245/70/16 for $151/tire - add $20 shipping and $20 mount and balance and that's probably about as good as you'll find. I did have a local Discount tire offer to beat Tirerack on the BFG's just because they're selling so many they could get a better price (unadvertised managers special) but I decided to go with Kumho's - $105 mounted balanced for the KL78 in 245/75/16 - so far so good - but only 3000 miles |

BFG's has always been overpriced,even more so for odd tire sizes.$197 per tire with mount and balance is not a bad price for BFG's,granted you could do the web buying thing but you'll end up paying the same no matter what by the time you figure S&H,putting them on,M&B if it is needed and so on. |

Just got a much better offer for Dueler REVOs...$668.62 for 4 installed, all fees included and with lifetime rotation and balance. Considering I need more wet-weather and road performance and won't get good traction around here off road unless I go to an MT, I'll probably get the REVOs. Thanks. Dan |

Once my Firestone's wear out, I was thinking of getting some retreads. Check them out: http://treadwright.com/default.aspx Super cheap. 245/75 Goodyear MT/Rs are only $70/tire. |

i WENT TO TIRESAVINGS.COM & FOUND THEM FOR $140 I then went to SEARS & they matched & BEAT the price 10% for that exact tire & I love them |
