Will the stock lug nuts work alright on the soft 8's? I plan on getting some aftermarket stainless steel lugs later. Or should I go ahead and order them now? Terry |

the factory lugs are crap if it were me i would replace them asap. get some solid lugs. the srock caps come off and strip really easily imo. i had nothing but trouble with my stock lugs. even had a shop strip them going on and another broke the stud when trying to get them off. i now have solid lugs all the way around with out any of the problems i had before. will they work yes do i think you should replace them yes. |

Like I said I plan on getting some stainless steel ones. NO CAPS! I have a couple of caps that are starting to go but they will last a little longer. Terry |

^Those are the stock lugs. Never had a cap pop off the stock lugs. I used an impact to loosen and slightly tighten them but always torqued them by hand. If you get solid lugs I wouldnt use an impact to loosen them. I loosen them by hand then use the impact to take them all off and snug them up, then torque with torque wrench. Keeps them looking like new. |
