Post subject:  Best Looking Wheel/Tire Combo For Stock 2006 Liberty CRD

I'm looking for suggestions on the best looking wheels and tires for my stock 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD. I want to give it a more rugged look and get better off road performance without making any modifications to it. Pics would be great if any of you want to suggest what you have on your own vehicle. Thanks.

You should slapp on a set of rubicon Moab rims with 225/75/16 tires.
That will fit with out any problem

I have the stock CRD rims with AT Revos and they are a huge improvement over stock, both on and off-road. Mileage difference is negligible if at all and they definitely look more aggressive. Don't have a pic, though. I think the same is true for that size in any decent AT tire (and they pretty much all fit with no rubbing).

225's are to small for the MOAB's,you need a min of a 245 to mount on a 8" rim.

Will the Rubicon MOAB rims mount on my stock liberty with 245/70R16 Dueler AT REVOs without any modification with no rubbing concerns? By the way tjkj2002 that is one tough looking Liberty! I would love to get mine looking like that one of these days.

How about Cragar Soft 8's 397 Series Wheel
Finish: Black
Size: 16'' x 7''
Bolt Circle: 5 x 4-1/2''
Rear Spacing: 4''
With all black 245/70/R16 tires? I've been doing some searching at the pictures on the site and I think the soft 8's would look great. Can anyone tell me if this package would fit my 2006 stock CRD Liberty without any modifications? If so can anyone suggest a good site to buy this package from? Thanks a lot.

because of the different backspacing you may get some rub with that size tire. they will stick out 1.5" farther than stock rims which are 5.5". Revos are great tires, but if you want a similar tire for about $50 less...look at Nokian Vatiiva ATs. Same exact tread pattern, better siping that goes 100% through the tread. Not as tough probably for offroad, but they rock everywhere else...especially with bad weather.

Thanks for the tip. The more I read the more it sounds like I'd be better off just sticking with the stock rims and going with a bigger tire like the 245/70/R16. I'll have to check out those Nokian Vatiiva ATs.

I decided to go with 235/75/16 tires with my factory rims based on some other posts I read. It looks like they will look good now without a lift and in the future when I get a lift, so it seems like a good option. Thanks for the tips.

Anyone running 265/70/16's on Soft 8's? I was thinking of running these but don't want to do any triming. I like the wider look of the 70's.

I saw a black CRD on the road today with stock rims using BFG AT K/O's and that thing looked sweet! Oh why don't they make those to fit the 17" wheels?
