Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo??????

after spending weeks looking for new tires to put on my moab rims, I have to say I like thees best. (Was thinking about keeping my BFG AT KO but go up to 245.) Much heavyer tire and I will be doing mostly highway....
What do you guys think about these?

Any and all comment welcome. I am thinking about slapping these on my Moab rims.

Any one else do this?

if you MUST have an AT instead of an MT, get 'em. IMO 1000x better in pretty much all conditions than the BFG AT. IMO the Dueler AT 683 (pre-revo) is better than the BFG AT

Rotate every 5,000 miles, and keep 'em around 33-36 psi, and you'll be a happy camper, and so will they.

I have used them for about 10 years now and love them. I guess tires have evolved since then. LOL

I really like they way the look and just want to see what others say about it.
I bet they will lok sweet on my new moab rims

i have them and i love them..great in deep snow, rain, and even some lighter mud. Overall great tire!!

I really like mine and my decision was between them and the BFGs as well. I just couldn't justify the extra cost, weight, and noise for something that would only really give me a benefit (and marginally so) offroad.

Something to be careful of is who installs them. Firestones in my area have some pretty boneheaded installers, so make sure they don't put the wrong wheel weights on or something.

I really wanted the Revo's as well. At the end of the day, compared to the Firestone Destinations AT's 245/70/16 the price ($40 more per tire) and weight (2 lbs more per tire) let me walk away from them. I think the tire looks better head on and I hear it performs better but the difference was not enough for me to warrent the price over the Destinations. On Tire Rack the side by side stats were very close.

The treads appear to be much more aggressive in the middle of the tire on the Revo's but the side lugs seemed to be a bit rounded off. I think that's better for street but not off road. The outer lugs and sidewall lugs seemed to look more rugged on the Destination's but the continuous center rib does not. So at the end of the day in terms of looks, I think the destinations look better from the side and, I think the Revo's are better head on.

There is a greater gap between the lugs on the Revo's but they were in a rain channel type pattern. To me, that greater gap would hurt mpg on the road, the Destination's have a continuous center rib which I thought would help mpg and improve braking on road. I don't have any data on that one, just my thoughts. Off road I thought that the rain channel gap in the Revo's could hurt the performance if the tire was slipping in muddy conditions. However, that thought does not seem to be supported by anyone who has them.

The difference in weight between the two tires will make a difference in mpg. I'm not certain how much but it will take a toll, probably more in stop and go that anything. In your case you might be going from an already heavy tire to a lighter one so the difference could negate each other.

Also, on the 245/70/16 size I think the Revo's were 0.1" taller and about 0.1" narrower than the destinations. I'm just pointing that out. I didn't research any other sizes.

What helped me was going to a Firestone store and they brought me down to check out their entire inventory of tires so I could pull them and give them a side by side comparison. Some times the tread pattern on a 245 size tire is not going to be the same as a 235 or a 255 so always go and check them out. Most of the AT tire pictures shown on tire rack are size 265 so what you actually get could look a lot different. The picture of the Revos did not do them justice, they looked a lot more aggressive than the picture showed which was very surprising.

you know my opinion, Bri, had em, loved em, recomend em......50,000 miles and i NEVER LOST confidence in them anywhere....rain, snow, ice, and even Paragon! awesome tire all around
