While wandering through the Summit catalog I ran across two U.S. Wheel entries with this notation:

Quote:
Notes: Wheels feature a larger inside diameter to help clear bigger brakes.

I'm looking at the 15 x 7's with 4.5 inch backspace to mount 30 x 9.50's on. They are basically a D window in black or chrome. Just wondering if anyone has already tried these rims. It would save me the trouble of ordering a wheel just to check the fit.

Those will work. The 87 rims are the old style "wagon wheels" which I really like, cheap and very strong.

Those are made by unique steel just like the Crager Soft 8 rims and the "D" hole steel rims.

Thanks tjkj. I tried talking to the folks down at Discount Tire about Unique rims, but they only seemed intrerested in "get 'em in and get 'em out" volume. They didn't want to take the time to see if they could get the backspace I wanted. I did find them with a 4 3/4 inch backspace but only in black. The wife said, "no black wheels". Heck, it's her Jeep too, chrome will have to do.
