Never heard of anyone on here running that size. RE: 275-70s Someone back 2 years ago or so tried I think, the problem with them is the sectional width is pretty wide, say a 255-70 is 30.2 inches tall with a sectional width of 10.2 on a 7.5 inch rim. 275-70 is 31.3 inches tall and section width of 11.0 on a 8 inch 265-75 is 31.8 and 10.5 on a 7.5 Would be fun to try just for S&Gs and also to be different than everyone else OH well also just threw it in there to keep everyone awake! |

Tom - how close is your rear tire to the bumper - especially when the suspension compresses? - from just searching photos/posts - it looks like anyone with 265's has gone to a 7" rim to clear the rear bumper - and most folks with Moabs are running 245/75's your 255's look better than the 245's and it doesn't sound like you have any clearance problems. |

Mine stuffs up into the fender BUT it is close, I mean close enough to scrape the dirt off when really compressed, depends on the tire as well, I have added some extra bumpstops as well now since I did it and that helps, there are some pictures from one of out DBNF trips in the Midwest section I think that show me stuffed pretty good, I will see what I can find for ya |
