Anyone have a weight for Cragar Soft 8's 15X7's? I tried looking on some sites that sell them, but they don't have it listed. ALSO, if anyone has the weight on some Mud Tires (Truxxus, Mickeys, etc) I could use that. I want to compare that to the weight of my alloy rims. I know that most people here prefer Steel due to their ability to deform and still get you home, but I keep seeing all of the purpose built rigs on TV with Alloy. So I'm wondering if the weight difference is enough to justify maybe keeping them over the steelies. Rescu2000 PS, My BBS RX's weigh 19.5 pounds each. Doesn't seem extremely light to me... |

About 26 lbs. or so on the soft 8's and anywhere from 39-50 lbs. on the tires. Most manufacturers will list an approximate weight on tires. I know Tire Rack lists them in the spec pages. Take Dunlop Mud Rovers for example... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.jsp? ... ageLocQty= Cragar has actual shipping weights on their website... http://www.cragarwheel.com/popupseries/popup_397.html So that would make my set-up about 66 lbs. per tire/rim. |

Thanks, that was just what I needed. I tried getting it from the cragar site, but my internet connection has been flakey lately and it was timing out. Lots of graphics... Rescu2000 |
