I installed a Frankenlift I on my KJ and upsized to 245/75 16 tires. Stock rims. I now get a little rubbing on my sway bar at full lock. Is there a particular rim that can alleviate all rubbing with 245/75's? I've searched this forum up and down and found all kinds of BS questions and answers, but none that can give me a direct answer. So I've finally decided to add to the collection of posts.':)' |

I am running spacers. I have no rubbing issues at full lock with stock wheels running 265/70's. I like to keep the factory look when modding my vehicles. As far as BS for aftermarket wheels I am not much help there as I am new to the KJ world. |

I was considering spacers or different rims. So how thick are your spacers? |

1.25" They really helped with stability on the road after the lift and flushed the wheels/tires up to the flares edge. Best $200 I have spent on the KJ so far. I used Spidertrax on my 07 JK and 94 YJ with no issues, and they had a LOT of abuse thrown at them. |

What cracks me up is that I never had that much rubbing until the ARB, lol. Now I am rubbing the sway bar, go fig. Debating some spacers sometime down the road. Till then I just dont turn that hard |

I'm still undecided at the moment due to "I don't have the extra money just yet", but I sure could use some extra stability in the front. Ever since I lifted my KJ, the steering has been a little squirrelly. The steering wheel kinda does what it wants on every bump. Man it makes me miss my Tahoe. I could steer that thing with my pinky finger. I have to "man-grip" the KJ. |

But now that you mention it, I think I'll bring it in this Sunday. I just changed my CV's out and now I have a clunk sound sometimes when I'm making a turn. Not sure what that is yet. I'm wondering if al's A arms would also help the steering. |

x2 with tommudd. I had horrible bump steer before my alignment, after it is almost unnoticeable. New UCAs from Al will help also. Saving my coin for those next. |

I ran my setup for over 70,000 miles on the stock UCAs no problems wih them or aligning it, of course I have a guy in a small shop that actually knows how to align a vehicle BUT with JBAs 4.5s it was easier yet to align and I can tell a little difference in the steering, mine is one finger steering, always has been |

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for. I was wondering if I could get some 8" cragers with no problems mounting a 245/75. To bad now after reading the above posts from tommudd, I'm thinking that I should just get the UCA's from AL first. Man I just wish I had a few grand to drop on this darn KJ to get it where I want it. |

Man I just wish I had a few grand to drop on this darn KJ to get it where I want it. Yeah that's what everyone keeps saying, but I know people on here running moabs with 245/75's, and from what I understand the moabs are 8 inch rims. I was walking out of the local golf course this last friday and noticed a wrangler rubicon with moabs. I checked out his tire size and they where 245/75 mtr's. I'm guessing stock tires. I don't know if mtr's are rated for an 8" rim are what. I'm sure that when I do get new rims they'll be 7" just because that's what everyone says is safe. Oh well, I'm saving all my money right now to go and see my family for Christmas, so I won't be making a big purchase until after the new year. Income tax maybe.'' |

Well I just figured that if I could get a crager soft 8 with the same specs as the MOABs, then I would be good to go. Guess not. I'm glad you told me. |
