Tell me I am right and these won't fit.
I can get a screaming deal on 255x75x17 BFG MT's on JK rims (JK take offs)
Follow my logic and see if I make sense.

On a 2.5" lift 235x85x16 (32x9.5) is about the biggest tire acceptable. (spent 2 days reading all the post in here)

255x75x17 (32x10.5) wheelspacer/adapter=1.25", tire is 1" wider so it add .5", JK wheel is 7.5" wide so that adds .25" which is a total of 2" wider/more outset, but the JK has 6.25" back spacing, which is .75" more than the KJ wheels.
All this nets me 1.25" more outset/wider per side!
Comparing this to the 265x75x16 (32x10.5) which is said to rub a lot, I would end up about .25 wider with the JK set up.

Even with buying spacer/adapters I would save $$ using the JK take offs, but I just can't see that they are going to fit....but it would be close....

Edit: to add to my frustration, the BFG site shows the 255x75x16 at 10.04" on a 7" rim. so that would narrow me up .5" from my above figures. Which puts be back right between the 265x75x16 and the 235x85x16 on stock rims.
Arggggghhhh :?

I think the JK rims have a different bolt pattern anyway. They are 5x5 and the KJ is 5x4.5 so the rims won't fit.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

All 07 and 08 JK's have the 5x5 bolt pattern I believe. Not sure about other years.

I would bet that the adapters would help the front and hurt the rear clearance.
the folks with 265/75/16s normally end up with 7" rims on the back because a Moab or normal 8" rim causes too much tire/fender interference
you'd have the same interference - but you couldn't go narrower because of the adapter
front would be equal to someone with the 265/75/16 and spacers.

Albert/Trailman, I appreciate the response, but if you read my post you will notice ADAPTER/spacer to address the 5on4.5 vs 5on5 issue....
