I have narrowed it down to these 4 tires. Has anyone been able to compare these tires first hand? I would love to run 235/75/16 so that would limit me to the destinations and wranglers. Would the rub on my non-lifted Just looking for opionions. I would love the Revo, as I think they are the safe bet, but they are the most money, and I would probably go 245/70/16 in thos and the geolanders. I want an A/T tire because the stockers suck! I go into the mountains quite a bit and don't want to get stuck while I am up there. I also run in the snow a lot. |

I have that firestone dest AT's and LOVE THEM! I always used bfg at ko's but this time I wanted to try something else and I found a very nice tire. Quiet, great in rain and pretty good in the mud. Snow I have not tryed yet. I hadve the 245\75\16x8 on moab rims. Well the rims are currently off the jeep cuz I removed my lift. But I love the firestone dest at's |

I'd like to eventually go with the Firestone Destination A/T's. Only have about 5600 on my GY Wrangler HP's, which I don't like, but maybe next spring I can look into some new ones, and sell the Wrangler's. Good luck on whatever you choose. |

I ordered the Wrangler Silent Armor's yesterday. I went with the 245/70R16's and don't think there will be a clearance issue. I read a lot of reviews on them. The people that reported problems seemed to be the 3/4 to 1 ton trucks but good reviews from smaller vehicles like the Liberty. Got them from Sears for 149 each but they're gonna match Direct Tire Discount's price of 137 or 584 OTD for 4, no tax or shipping. I'll be sure to report back once I get them mounted next week. |

Make sure you get the $40 rebate on the silent armors. I am going with the destination A/Ts. I will get them Saturday. I will be running 235/75/16s. I need the ground clearance, I am hitting snow in the winter and spring, rocks in the summer and when I am in the ruts, I drag my skid plate on the dirt at times. Yes, I know I need a lift!!! But tires are first. Then if I can find someone to reprogram my TCM to make my tranny work the way it is supposed to, then the lift and boulder bars! I know, I have a list!!! |

Sears has a policy (Price Match Plus) that meets competitors price plus gives you 10% of the difference. I also received an email from Sears yesterday for an additional 10% off for purchases using Sears charge card through Saturday. I made my purchase with Sears charge card but charges may not show up until delivery on Tuesday. On top of the $12 per tire savings, no tax, 10% Price Match Plus policy, should I also get additional 10% off for using Sears charge card. That means instead of the original Sears price plus tax of $652.46 it might now be $438.40, a savings of $214.06 |

I have the stock size tire [Destination A/T] on my un-lifted 02 and they have been a very good "all-around" tire. Fantastic on wet roads and in deep snow. Though, I have gotten them to slide in two situations on dry pavement, so they don't have too much "stick" to them on dry asphault which can be an issue in emergancy lane change situations. Off the paved roads, the tires have performed fine on soft stuff, wet grass, and some gravel or mild situations [remember I'm un-lifted]. They will not self-clean if the mud is sticky. But Michigan mud if hardly sticky so they work pretty good when I head down two-tracks or out into the forest. Also, I have read reports that the sidewalls on these tires can easily be damaged by larger rocks. I avoid rocks with all my might so I can not comment as to the factuality of this statement. So in my opinion and based on user experience, a good "all-around" tire. Hardly a tire for serious off-road stuff though. |

I don't off-road (intentionally), but I do live 2 miles up a gravel road. Toughness and wet weather performance are my top criteria. I had Revos on my Ford 250 and they were fantastic. I almost went with the Firestones and from the reviews everywhere they are a bargain. On my CRD I decided to try the 235/70R16 Silent Armor on 16x8 Moab rims (no lift). Rides is superb; smoother than Revo. Wet pavement feels like dry. Tread is more aggressive than Revo but spits out gravel better. Tight fit though... I put a pop rivet in the bottom front of the fender liner to keep it pulled back a hair.

I bought the Destination A/Ts in the 235/75/16s. There is only a tiny bit of rub on the front fender liner. I will be able to pull it forward and it will be fine. I don't hear the rub so it is very slight! |
