Post subject:  Cooper or Bridgestone?

Im looking to get a new set of tires this weekend for my CRD in the stock size of 235 70 16s. I called the local wholesale tire shop got prices on the ones im interested in. I cant decide between the Cooper Discoverer ATRs for $597 or the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos for $708 out the door. I want to try the new Revos but they are awful pricey. I had the Coopers on my grand cherokee a few years back and I liked them but I got less than 30k miles out of them. Whats your opinion of the 2. Thanks

The first set of tires I bought was for my Bronco and they were Bridgestone Duelers, H/T's I think. They were vastly better than the tires they were replacing, but I was more satisfied with the Cooper Discoverer AT's. The Coopers had better tread life. Neither of these are the tires you are looking at, however the discoverer ATR's replaced the AT's and I have had the ATR's and thought they were a pretty good tire all around. I liked the AT's better, looked more agressive than the ATR's.

I have used Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos that came on my Moabs when I bought them. I’d say they have about 50-60% tread on them. So far I’m not overly impressed with the Dueler A/T‘s. I would vote for the Cooper ATR over the Dueler’s. And I would vote for the TOYO Open Country A/T’s over both.
