SSR or LTB Interco

Just curious if anyone running any Interco tires other than Trxus?I'm looking at the SSR and LTB versions for offroading.I've moved to an area where the MT/R isn't the greatest tire to have i.e. more mud.I'm leaning towards the LTB and yes I know it's not even close (bias) to a street tire.The SSR is nice but the size it's available in weighs 66 LBS and that surely won't make my D30A happy.The LTB is smaller and weighs in at 49 LBS actually 1 pound lighter than the MT/R in 245/75-16.

I ran the LTBs for a while on one of my old broncos, would flat spot some, loud as :shock:

but dug in good , ran them about 10,000 miles and sold the tires and wheels
Also ran the Super Swampers TSL in Q78-15s, 9-32-16s and 18.5-44s they did pretty good as well, but what are you wanting them for a DD or just trail and what price range?

The Jeep is only my daily in the winter.The rest of the year I ride.I am planning on running two set of wheels/tires.Street and trail.And I really like the LTB.

I almost bought the SSRs but went with the Trxus instead because I found a deal on them. I have heard good things about the SSR and the LTB, which is a really gnarly tire. The LTB is going to be loud and rough on road, but awesome off road. Maybe look at the Trxus too. It is a nice mud tire but isn't a nightmare on the road.

Since I'm going to have 2 sets on road isn't a concern.I'm looking at bias tire for tough,gnarly stuff.The MT/R's have shown me a weakness when aired down for nasty stuff.Several times I've had them blow a bead or get debris stuck in the bead leading to a slow leak requiring changing tires.This weekend it was cold and snowing.That was the last straw.That and the loss of precious ground clearance when aired down to 14PSI or so.Bias tires just don't do that often.They will last years because of limited use.I'll live with some noise and flat spotting overnight to gain confidence that tires won't let me down.

LTB's are amazing everywhere but the street. They outperform even their more expensive cousins. For mud, I think that only the Bogger is better.

I'm not doing mud exclusively but there's a lot more to deal with here than where I used to wheel.

Hey those are mine. I ran those for the past 2 years exclusively offroad and they were unstoppable. None of the worries you had with the MTR's. Its great when you can show up a TJ with 35's in your Liberty. :shock:
