i really want to run this style wheel..
http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx? ... artID=4346

they come in 15x8 with 3.75in backspacing or 16x8 with 4.25in backspacing.. which one is better to go with.. or should i stick with a normal d-window 15x7 with 4in backspacing?

i want to keep it close to the same as mine is now with the stock wheels and 1.25in backspacing.

i guess my question is which one of the wheels i listed above are the best for a KJ (limited rubbing) and what is the backspacing my stock wheel + the 1.25in spacer?

i want to run 265/75/16 (or 15) with these wheels.

any info would be greatly appreciated!

I am running a d window wheel in a 15x8 with 3.75 bs. No rub going forward, just a bit going in reverse while turning hard.

Are you planning doing something with your flares or the door bumpers?

your tires are 31x10.5's right? so the 265/75's would just be a little larger.. .8in or so. humm i might get some rubbing with them then.

chris- i dont plan on doing anything with the flares at this time.. who knows once they get beat up some more. i just like the black wheels. especially with the fake beadlocks :)

Yeah, I definitely would not run a 16x8 which is what you have to run with a 265/75. Troy ran 16x8 in those exact wheels I think and had major rub so he scrapped IIRC.

well guess i'll just bite the bullet and get some 16x7's with 4in bs. i just really liked those simulock's and didnt know if i'd have a chance of running them or not.

humm.. now more decisions... they are almost double the cost of a normal non-streetlock d-window.. so is it worth it just to have a fake beadlock ... which looks really cool. or just go for the normal d-window and put the $400 toward something else..

that was a cruel cruel trick TJKJ haha..

i think i'll go for the normal D-window and put that extra $400 forwards a RL rear bumper... the one with guts not the new light one... i'm afraid if i do add the RL rear bumper that it will push my KJ over the weight limit and i'll no long be able to put up with the stock gearing.

Sorry couldn't help myself  .Those will be my next rims ,though in a flat black finish, but sucks I'll need to jump to 17" size since that is the only size for 5.5 on 5 BP  .Only $469 each!

I'd save the $$ and put it towards other parts. The fake bead does add a little strength but not worth the extra $ they cost. I'd get the regular D windows, Soft 8s, or V5s.
