I have been thinking lately about this bc im going into the new tire route here soon. But as you flex on a trail wouldnt it be easier to stuff a 30 than a 31 into your wheel well? like couldnt u get alil more flex with a 30? or am I just thinking stupidly?

30's will give you 1/2" more flex than 31's. 31's will give you 1/2" more ground clearance than 30's. It is a trade off. I chose 31's and love it. Also, just FYI, I found that 31x10.50x15 were considerably less expensive than 16" version. Enough difference for me that I bought a set of Black D's from Summit in addition to tires and paid about the same as just tires for 16" wheel.

I don't have a problem stuffing my 32's. It's tight, but they fit. 31's won't be a problem.

Depending on the actual specs from brand to brand, there is often much less than 1" difference between "30's" & "31's.', anyway. Make sure you check the actual specs of the tire you are interested in.
