does anyone know if 15x 10 inch wheels with 3.75inch BS would work on a libby, i'm gonna be running 31x10.50s, i can get a set of 4 for pretty cheap, but i'm pretty sure they won't work. thanks

I'm no expert, but I think the guys in the know on here recommend putting the 10.5" tires on 7" rims. I would think it would be very easy to pop a bead with those rims. If you are OK with the blak steel rims, they are pretty cheap too. About $40 each if I recall.

Yep, 10.50's should be on a 7" rim, you can go to an 8" but that is still outside most tire companies recommended size for that tire.

Trying to imagine the pressure you would have to run to keep a 10.5" tire on a 10" wheel

while we're on the subject, what are some of the junk wheels that i should stay away from, i know most that run steel usually go with the cragars, but are there cheaper ones that are just as good, i'm gonna be going with the d window style. any thoughts?? and also.... any of you guys use treadwrights, i'm halfways serious about getting them but when i get leave from the army i always drive back to north dakota and thats a sh#t ton of mountains and snow if its in the winter, so i don't want to get anything that's gonna suck in snow, thanks

Quite a few members here run or have run Treadwrights. All the reviews I remember were good, if you are going to be in snow or ice, I recommend spending the extra few bucks on the Ultra-Grip version. Take a look in this section for past reviews.

I have the 31x10.5 Treadwrights... Mine are on the 15x8 Cragar Soft 8. And so far they are a great tire, and for the price you can't complain. Like Despes said, the Ultra Grip stuff is $10 extra per tire, and helps a lot in the ice and snow.

Tires... I have run the Treadwrights. Seemed to be good tires to me. See my review HERE

On the wheels, I think I remember Troy saying that pretty much all of the steelies are actually manufactured by the same company. U.S. Wheel I think. I am sure he will chime in to verify. So really the Cragars are the same as the Discount Tire brand, are the same as the JC Whitney brand, etc... I found my 15x7 Black D's at Summit Racing online for very reasonable. I think they were only $33 per wheel with $12 shipping for the whole set. Kind of hard to beat that price.
