Stopped into a shop yesterday to look into an alignment and tire balancing. The guy told me that if you have goodyears, you get free tire rotations at any good year shop, even if you bought them used. Is this true? I hate rotating my tires.....last time I did it I dumped the front end onto the balljoint bolts   Jack stands / pavement failed.

I had goodyears briefly when I bought the kj and I was never told that. Call a local goodyear dealer and see if thats the case. I know where I work we dont do free rotations on goodyear tires.

Couldn't you have got this answer via a 30 sec phone call to a Goodyear shop?

Also any place you take your oil to get changed will most likely rotate them for free. I know most shops around me only charge $15-$25 for a rotation if thats all you want.

Yes I could have. As I could have taken 30 sec to take a dump in a paper bag and put in someone's mail box, or waste my money on a rock Krawler lift. But considering the amount of people on here that run goodyears.......its a good bit of info to know. And knowing how shady most shops can be, they may deny or accept the claim.

If I took my rig to do my oil changes instead of doing it myself.....I wouldn't pay the $15-$25 for them to rotate my tires anyway.

nice mohawk. watch your attitude.

temper temper ... someone didn't take their happy pills this morning. I made a simple statement to call a goodyear shop. You said you didn't want to rotate your tires so I gave you other options. There was no need to get personal ... Looks like someone has self-esteem issues they need to get worked out.

yes I forgot to take my happy pills and my therapist Jack Daniels is out of town for a week, so I got a little upset. Possibly it stems from my mommy-daddy issues and the fact that my dog will no longer look at me after I accused her of pooping in the halway. My life is a wreck!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

sheesh guys...

I bought my Coopers at....Cooper Tire (owned by a guy that is named Cooper, but also has a cooper franchise...kinda wierd.) They charge $10 for rotations, but I was told since I bought my tires there I got free rotations and BALANCES for life...yay.

I still rotate mine on my Jeep myself, its fun. Do your 5 tire rotation, you never have to take it off the jack that way. I like to do it, but its also nice not to have to wait at the tire place and listen to fox news....

Just went to the goodyear place. The guy asked if I had the reciept for the tires. wellllllllll no. So he said they would have to charge for a rotation. He also said they don't even do free rotations for OE tires. I guess the rotation freebie is shop specific to where you got your tires.

I just bought 4 wrangler mt/r tires from a good year shop, and they told me free rotations for life of the tires.

Too bad these don't count for the Treadwrights, which have Goodyear MT/R tread.

was it a local franchise or actual national place? Make sure you save your receipt. They asked if I had mine  Who keeps a tire receipt??????? I'd also call them and ask if its at that shop or all goodyear shops.

On another note:
I had to google "FTW"...good gravy I'm getting old and outta touch.

It's an actual national chain shop... and I'm definitely keeping my reciept!
