Running down the highway, my left rear wheel bounces off the pavement. Its a rapid up and down.
I've seen this on other cars, never experianced it myself.
Shock, wheel weight or am I missing something else?
The something else could be from the fact that my GF spun it out and hit a curb, destoying the rim.

Any help would be greatly aprieciated.

def not a thrown weight. could be shock, probably not tho. more than likely you have a reallly bent rim or broken/shifted belt in the tire.

Well there's your problem right there, letting the GF drive it. But there isn't any chance that your wheels are coated with mud and stuff right? That always seems to throw them out of wack.

X2

If she really did "destroy" the rim I'd be willing to bet you have some suspension issues. Something could be bent or broke. If you have mechanic skills I'd get it jack up and take a look around. If not I'd get it to a shop asap and get it checked out.

Like Mike stated, if she really did "destroy" a rim, there is a good possibility that the rear axle is bent. Basically the hub is bent out of perpendicularity to the axle. This would act just like a bent rim. Also could make some noise. Have someone drive the KJ 5-10 MPH and then follow behind them and look at the tire/wheel See if it looks to be rolling true, or if it looks like it is wobbling as it rotates. If it is wobbling with new tires and rims, the axle is bent.

Separated belt.

There is no other answer. Shock will not cause that, thrown wheel weight would not cause it either. You have a separated belt, and need a new tire.

I think I have to agree with TBJ on this one   Thats the first place to start.

Now if you driven it a lot, yes you will need new shocks and other items real soon due to it beating everything to death

get it checked...yesterday
