I was sorta looking into getting some super swamper LTB's and was wondering how fast they wore while riding on road. Or in fact any of the super swampers, how fast do they wear?

I uesd to run the old style Swampers in the 38/40 inch range and got about 25000 out of them in a 70 % highway 30% off road . Wasn't all the way worn out but enough they would not dig as good any more. Get used to the hum! I made 4 or 5 trips from Ohio to Flordia with them, got used to the hhhhuuuuummmmmmmmmm after a while:wink: !

lol yea I bet you did. Its just I see some people who have them and the wear on them looks pretty bad, almost no tread and they still ride on them, and the funniest part is the sidewalls nubs are like still perfectly intact. I just dont want to spend the money on them, being a 75% on-road and 25% off-road driver, and have them wear so fast id have to get new tires in like a year

I think I pretty much set my heart on a set of new tires, either SS LTB's or TSL bias, but was wondering again if anyone had any expereince with them?

My experience is that the off-road ability drops pretty quickly when you start wearing them down on pavement- it dulls the edges & stuff.

20-25K is probably the average response you would get for those tire. It might be easier to have an on-road set of a/t's and keep the others for off-road.

I had a set of 34x10.5x15 LTB's on a FSJ for awhile. No excess wear. Sold them, though.

The D's are going to have a higher rated load per tire..... Personally, I'd do with the D's

I just looked again at the tires and the D rated are for the 16" and the C rated are for the 15"
