I have a stock Liberty.

Want something good on wet pavement and snow.
And something durable.

I don't offroad as a hobby, but I go on forest roads and gravel roads all the time, so I want something that will not puncture easily and that has ok traction so I don't slide going up steep gravel roads or steep snowy roads.

I am sick of flat tires ! Flats from gravel roads, nails, whatever. I've already had about 6 flats in 2 years. 2 tires were beyond repair, so I got a couple used tires as replacements.

I bought some Bridgestone Revos a few years ago. They were amazing.
I'm about to buy more as we speak.

They are IMHO, excellant in wet and snow. Off road...not to bad in dry.

For similar concerns, I went with Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors... kevlar belted, good and solid 'underfoot'. Have been holding up well on both my Jeeps.

I ran the Silent Armors once. They did real good (considering) in mud, sand and trails. For forest roads & highways they would be real good. SNOW!!! I seem to remember the white stuff from PA.

i had the silent armors before switching to the dura tracs. they had great traction and were quiet, too quiet for me so i switched. they have awesome road manners which was a BIG plus since my drive to work was about 40 miles one way. i would highly recommend them to someone that wants a quiet, great riding a/t

I think I'm going with the Silent Armors.
What size should I get for a stock 2007 Sport?

I think 235/70/16 is the largest that would fit, but whenever I enter my vehicle on a tire website it only comes back with one size that will fit. I thought multiple sizes would fit.

Do I have to get the same size that came from the factory?

245-70-16s will work as well, there ( maybe) minor rubbing when backing up and fully turned other than that will be fine

235/70r16 or 225/75r16 would be stock from the factory in the 16 inch size. You don't have to go with a factory size, how ever if you do switch, you will have to have the dealer recalibrate your speedometer...

Is there any advantage to choosing the 235/70/16 over the 225/75/16? I think mine came with the 225's, so if it's no difference I'll just get the same.

No, not really. The 235 is wider while the 225 has a taller side wall. There might be a few more choices of aggressive tires in the 225 size, but I could be wrong

that's not exactly right. The 235 and 225 is the tread width from shoulder to shoulder measured in mm. The 70 and 75 is the sideawall and that's a ratio of the first number. The overall diameter is only .3 inches different. Basically a 235/70r16 will give you more contact on the road by 10mm.

FYI - the 225, 235, 245 are section width - widest part of the tire - many companies won't tell you a tread width - and the ones that do - they can easily vary 20mm for the same 'section' width.

That's why some 245's rub and some don't - different tread widths.
