I decided to try the Treadwight tires this time. They are a little loud with a high pitched sound. Not really bad though. No offroad test yet.

265/75/16" OTR-S COST: $78.75 each + shipping.

I have a set of the ATs,( BFG AT tread design, on BFG casings) they are doing pretty good, of course no way are they a mud tire but so far so good.

We have a stretch of beach, 9 miles, that we are allowed to drive on so I thought I would see how they do. At the very end the sand is very deep and loose. Even some 4X4's get hung up in it. I plowed right through! Then I tried 2 sand dunes and didn't have any problems. I even had the front tires in the air going over the top!

The real TEST will be the ECS next month.

The tires weigh 55.2lbs unmounted. The soft 8's weigh 30.4lbs. each. Man, that is a lot of weight!

Yeah, I think that was part of ChiroKJ's concern with them as well...

That is a funky looking pattern, the center section is strange, but if it works. I may go with Treadrights on my Tahoe next time around, something more aggressive than my Toyos. If they're loud, just turn up the radio a little louder....
Terry, did they balance out okay?

They were hard to balance but they did. They also don't grab real well on a wet highway. I found that out when I took off from a full stop.

My Treadwrights were hard to balance, the Goodyear MTR tread design. I love them though. VERY soft, not too sure how many miles I will get out of them. And the sides are a little chewed up from my lack of pinch weld pounding abilities :(. I need to fix that.

Didn't know you had Treadwrights. They sent me the BFG AT casings, with GY MTR tread. Kinda funky haha.
