Okay, last Wednesday, I finally replaced my Maxxis Bighorns (265/75/16) with Firestone Destination AT's (245/75/16). I kept the bighorns since I need off-road tires when hitting the tough boulder trails though they are well worn on the inside of the tread (lift and supposedly the tie rods were the cause). I went down in size for the better gas mileage and price since they are for daily driving. Yes, they don't make my KJ look as tough and off-road capable, but my ego isn't so high that I am hurt by it.

I have hardly played my Zune or the radio during the last few days. The ride is so smooth and QUIET compared to the Bighorns I wanted to enjoy the quiet rides.

The dilema now: With the tires so quiet, I can now hear every *Clunk!*, *Thunk!*, *Bang!*, *CREAK!*, *TINK!*, *WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!* that the KJ makes now.

I wanted the Revo2's but they had NONE in the entire state! Firestone has a list of their AT tires and rates them. There are five with the Destinations listed in the middle as "Good." The Revos were listed at the top and "Optimal." Price difference Destinations: $112/tire - Revo2s: $139/tire.

We are expected to get 6-12" of snow tonight. A good chance to test out these Destinations. Woo Hoo!

Good choice on the Destination A/Ts. They are rated #1 on Tirerack.com in the A/T tire category. ]

I have a set and I absolutely love them. Great on and off road traction, quiet and inexpensive.

That's odd I personally installed 2 sets of Revo2's today,we have a few sets in stock also. Not sure about the 245/75R16 size though.

Dangerous black ice tonight. Tires are doing great BUT, I do have bad tie rods and I can feel my KJ feeling unstable while driving. The traction seems good but I am feeling a lot of side sway.
