I can get a good deal on a set of Crager soft 8's with General Grabber AT2 with 100 miles on them. I have a about 3inch lift. Does anyone know if they will rub?

I am running 31x10.5x15
I dont have any problems rubbing, but I also trimmed my front and rear bumpers before I had this size tire. I would imagine that some trimming would need to happen, but for your size not much trimming. :2cents:

backspacing is the real issue, i believe guys are running 3.75" or 4"

That will work just fine. Dont freak out about the clearence around the front calipers. When I put mine on I thought that they would not fit around the calipers. When people told me the clearence would be close, I didnt think it was gonna be that close!

Best disicion I made, it changes the stance and look of the jeep. I would say other than the lift, the new wheels have been the thing that most people comment on how great the jeep looks.

post some pics when you get them mounted!

I ran 255-70-16's which are 30x9.5-16 if i recall correctly, both before lifted with no spacers and after lifted with spidertrax and slight front fenderwell rubbing around the foglight access holes and on the pinch were the only rubs

on spidertrax the pinch rub will be worse with M/T style tires, but a good pinch pounding will cure it

no idea what the rub would have been like lifted with no spacers, i never ran them that way but i'm positive it'll work as yodejt stated

I want that same size. My 31x10.5-15 tires rub on the pinch weld, even after getting pounded. Don't have much of a clevis lift and I don't really have the resources here to pound it down or clevis lift it. So I'm thinking about getting some 30x9.5-15... In AT cause my Treadwright MT/R are having a hard time in this snow.

i hear that

i'm probably going to end up going with 30x10.5x15

i need to try to guestimate accurately the rim backspace needed ontop of the spacers to clear the pinch, i think if i went inboard half an inch with the tires, it would clear

whatever that comes to with backspacing in comparison to the 16x7 allow and a 15x7 steel i don't have a friggin clue?

yeah after all this talk I gotta check my backspacing too. I dont remember if I have 4.5 or 4.

Look what I started haha The price I'm getting on these is $525 Thats the rims and tires with 100 mile on them. This sounds like a good deal right.

sounds pretty good. Those rims are usually prices around $40-60 a piece depending on where you look. And the cheapest tires I know of new or almost new would be treadwrights at about $85 a piece.

It's done. The rims and tire are on and fit great with no rubbing. :P The max PSI marked on the tire is 50 psi. What do you guys load yours to?

Post subject:  Re: 30x9.5x15 anyone?

varies slightly depending on the tire itself and whether it's front or rear, i wet roll them or chalk them and adjust till the contact patch is full

with the 255's it was 34 front 35.5 rear, with the 245 courser m/t's its 34.5 front 36.5 rear but i need to rechalk and adjust a bit they're bagging a bit like they want more around 40psi, on a stock suspension i would typically air it rather close to what the vehicle sticker details, but once you change the suspension ratios that sticker is meaningless, if i recall correctly .5 psi is roughly equivalent to 50 lbs of suspension resistance

These are great. Around 30 to 40 MPH a little of hum but nothing the radio can not fix. I still need a spare. I'm going to use the factory center caps and paint them black. I just ordered black lugs. I may also sharpie the white letters black.

Hey Benny! Looking good. All you need to do is tint the windows and you'll be golden. :JEEPIN:

I love the look of tint but do not like having it dark in the car.
