I am about to finally life the Libby! Along with the lift, that means new tires. I am trying to research the best A/T out there that can handle well in the rain, offroad and on road. Since I mainly do highway and in town driving, sometimes go to the beach so need a tire that'll handle the sand, anyone know of an amazing tire that they have used on their own liberty or one they have heard is good. I want that aggressive look of a mud tire, but with less road noise and will last me a while. Right now I'm lookin' at some Pit Bull Growler Radials. They look pretty sweet, and that's basically the look I'm goin for, but not too sure of how they handle or if they are loud. Send me your feedback on this please!!

Here's the Pit Bull tire that I'm lookin' at...whatcha think?? (sorry the pic is so big)

dnllpretzer - I don't think anyone's running those.
Smallest size I see is a 31/11.50 - and that will probably need a lot plastic liner trimming although it should fit.

245/75/16 is more common - but for sand a 265/70/16 would probably work sell
(biggest you can fit is 265/75/16 - and that might need some gearing changes)

FYI - I think this chart is still a good reference.

If most of your off road driving is on the beach, then you don't want an aggressive tread mud tire. You would be better off with something that has a moderate tread design like the B.F.Goodrich A/T, or the General Grabber AT2. Either of these tires will give you reasonable grip on muddy trails, they handle very well on wet, snow covered and dry roads, and the best part is they won't give you that annoying drone while driving at highway speeds like those mud tires.
The other thing about aggressive tread tires on beach sand is, they tend to dig in, on the beach you want a tire that'll float your vehicle over the sand, not dig into it. You also want to air down before driving out on the sand giving you as much tread width as possible.
95% of my off roading is on the beaches of South Jersey, and I'm presently running General Grabber HTS, these have more of a highway tread design, I drop the air pressure to between 20 or 25 Lbs. and they handle the beach sand better than any light truck or mud tire....... :2cents:

If the majority of your driving is on pavement, with offroading secondary, then stick with the BF Goodrich All Terrain TA/KO. Long lasting on pavement, not much noise, great in all weather conditions, very good offroad.

I like all these wire which you can share with us. It could be better than what is moderate compared to the size BFGoodrich T or General Grabber AT2. Both of these tires, you get a sensible grip muddy paths, They handle very wet, snowy and dry roads, and the best part is that it is not going to give you that annoying hum at highway driving speeds, the tires mud.
