anyone on here running a set of 15" wheels and tires? i've been emailing this guy about buying an extra daystar lift in case i buy another liberty in the near future. anyways... he mentioned he has a set of 31-10.50-15 mud/snow tires on a set of pro comp rims with mickey thompson center caps for 850.00. or would trade to a set of 16" wheels and tires. well i have a set of 16" jeep liberty wheels with 245/75/16 toyo open country at's that i would trade with. his tires have plenty of tread and the wheel and tire set up he has is what ive been wanting. my question is, would there be any issues if i ran that 15" wheel and tire set? i've heard from one person that it would mess up my center-of-gravity and from another guy that i wouldn't need wheel spacers to clear the brake caliber. i saw on the internet somewhere that you would need wheel spacers to clear the brake caliber and other things about running 15's. what do you guys think??? (someone help me before this good deal passes me up!!!) i need your alls

15" steel wheels like the Soft 8 or Black D Window wheels work fine on KJ. Aim for a 4"-4.5" BS. They will be fine with 31x10.50's if you have a lift. 15" aluminum rims will rub the calipers. |

if they got Mickey center caps i'd pretty much assume they're steelies with the pinch knocked down shouldn't have any issues with 15x7 31x10.5 on 4-4.5 as was said above |

Yep, i am, drove through KY to get here not 3 weeks ago that decal should look good, glad that idea lead worked out for ya btw, there is a chrysler/olds OEM paint color called black cherry that looks about the same color as metallic blood if that helps at all i used it on my mesh grill inserts it's rather subdued on the mesh but figured I'd throw that in there for ya ![]() ![]() hm, kinda got thrown back for a minute, haven't looked at pictures of my jeep before my front bumper in quite sometime haha |

Quote: my question is, would there be any issues if i ran that 15" wheel and tire set? i've heard from one person that it would mess up my center-of-gravity and from another guy that i wouldn't need wheel spacers to clear the brake caliber. i saw on the internet somewhere that you would need wheel spacers to clear the brake caliber and other things about running 15's. I run cragar soft 8s, 15x7 with 4" of backspacing with a 31x1050 m/t, and I love the look. The wheels are pretty heavy, and they barely clear the caliper, but it's completely worth it IMO for the look. As far as center of gravity, if you go with a wheel that sticks out further than stock, it will actually lower your center of gravity since you'll be wider. I don't run wheel spacers and my wheels clear the caliper fine. But some wheels may not clear as well as cragar soft 8s, d windows, or any other similiar wheel. (black rock, procomp). |

The wheels I might be trading to are Steel Pro Comps. They have the 8 holes and look really similar to cragars. Thanks for the info!
